Scout Mountain is secluded off of old hwy 62. It is only 7 miles to historic downtown Corydon, Indiana with it's rich history of the first state capital. There also is O'bannon state park just minutes away with its lush vegetation and wildlife. This is also cave country that you can enjoy 3 major caves in the area Wyandotte, Squire Boone, and Marengo caves. Canoeing is also popular in the Marengo area. You will find in the downtown Corydon area gift shops, glass factory, antique shops and much much more. Dine at a restaurant overlooking the rive at Horse shoe bend.

For a short but further travels visit Louisville, Ky just 20 min from Hwy 64 going east.
