We invite you to relax and step back in time in this 1894 Victorian mansion built by prominent physician Reuben C. Griffitt. Also known as the Griffitt-Murphy House, the Victorian Rose Inn was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2006, as well as receiving an award for renovation from the Historic Preservation Society.
We are located within walking distance of several antique shops, specialty shops, and restaurants within Morgantown. Each guest room has a private bath, cast iron gas log fireplace, full, queen or king sized bed, T.V. and sitting area to accomodate two adults. There are 5 beautifully decorated rooms to choose from. We currently offer a continental breakfast of fresh baked breads/muffins, fruit, coffee, and juice. We plan to offer a full breakfast in the near future.
Our scenic location has a direct route to the following locations, all within an 8 – 45 minute drive:
