Wampler House

Family owned and run, the Wampler House was created for the discerning guest who desires upscale accommodations in a relaxed atmosphere.  Our grandparents purchased their home in 1938 and it has been in the family since then.  Built in 1857, the house has been completely restored and a new addition in 2003 when we opened as a Bed and Breakfast in Bloomington, which provides an excellent solutiong for lodging near the Indiana University.  Award winning, we are only 10 minutes to the heart of the Indiana University campus.

Our breakfasts are traditional serving 4 kinds of juice, fresh fruit with yogurt and granola, breads, muffins plus a hot dish such as Hashbrown Quiche or Creme Brule French Toast with bacon or sausage.  Coffee, teas and hot chocolate are served as well.

Four of the rooms have their own private balcony but there is a spacious front porch with swing and rockers that call many to in warm weather.  We have a deck off of the Morning room that we serve breakfast on when the weather is nice.Why not slip into a bubble bath in your Jacuzzi?  There are loofahs, herbal bath grains and bubbles to add to your water.  It will relax and refresh your tired body. Our Spa offers facials, body wraps and salt glows as well as traditional massage therapy.  You can make an appointment when you book your room.  One of our most popular is the Peppermint Hand and Foot Massage.Even if you wanted to leave out ammenties behind for a day to explore, there is plenty to do around the Indiana University area. We also are available for meetings, family gatherings and tea parties.  We do little girl tea (birthday) parties.
