(Makes two loaves)
1 yellow Golden Butter cake mix
1 small box pistachio pudding (instant)
1/2 cup vegetable oil (I use canola oil)
1 cup sour cream
4 eggs (beat before adding)
3 tbsp. sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 cup chopped pecans
1.Preheat oven to 350 degrees
2.Mix together the first four ingredients (cake mix through sour cream) then add in the eggs. (I use my electric mixer for this step)
3.Divide half of the mixture between two greased bread pans. (You can make a coffee cake instead by pouring half of the mixture into a greased Bundt pan)
4.Pour half of the sugar mixture over the breads in equal amounts.
5.Pour the remaining batter over each of the breads, in equal amounts. Repeat process using the remainder of the sugar mixture.
6.Bakes loaves for 40-45 minutes at 350 degrees. Cool for 5 – 10 minutes, then remove from pans
This bread freezes well if you want to save a loaf for later.
